Ian Tien is a Senior Product Manager in the Office Business Application product group at Microsoft Corporation. His responsibilities include product management and marketing with a focus on the adoption of Microsoft Office technologies as a front-end to enterprise business process and Microsoft-SAP strategy.

Previously he led the functional design team on Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 responsible for SAP Netweaver BI connectivity, Microsoft Office 2007 integration (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel) and Scorecarding and Business Monitoring (codenamed "Concerto"). Before PerformancePoint, Ian was responsible for the functional design of Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005 (codenamed "Maestro") as well as the product's Technology Adoption Programs.

Before coming to Microsoft Ian lived prior lives in product management and development at Trilogy Software in Austin, Texas, ETrade in Toronto, Canada, and at a start-up in Washington D.C. focused on supply chain automation.
